Lighting Designer
Background.
Through field research, we identified multiple challenges faced by Lighting Designers in planning and designing lighting systems for residential and commercial spaces. Their reliance on field engineers for adjusting light levels and hues often led to delays and additional expenses. Furthermore, these designers had to continuously shift their attention between the lights they were modifying and their devices, which were cumbersome and difficult to use.
Goals.
Our primary goal was to foster growth by facilitating smoother collaboration between Lighting Designers and Lutron. We aimed to develop a groundbreaking application endowed with a comprehensive toolkit for enhancing autonomy, paired with a user-friendly interface to boost efficiency. Our intention was to make designers feel understood and empower them with the confidence to work independently.
Outcome.
This cutting-edge iOS app enables lighting designers to program, edit, and fine-tune lighting settings directly from their mobile devices. It features a wide range of functionalities, including the ability to adjust brightness, change color temperature, configure scenes, and set timers and transitions. The app allows designers to efficiently create the ideal ambiance in any space. Early adopters have lauded the app for its intuitive design and user-friendliness, highlighting its potential to greatly benefit clients.
