Background.
Neighbors desire greater control and personalization in their Nextdoor experience, seeking ways to filter content and neighborhoods to align with their preferences. Frustration stems from personal, venting, or outdated posts, navigational difficulties, and a disconnect between feed content and real-life relevance.
Goals.
We wanted to provide neighbors greater control and more options to personalize their feed while improving usability and seamlessness. Users should have a consistently engaging feed experience in which relevant discussions are easily found and the application performance is reliable.
